I was first introduced to the Montessori philosophy in 2016 while working as an administrator at a Montessori school in College Station, Texas. As a brand-new mom at the time, I quickly fell in love with the Montessori approach and knew it was exactly what I wanted for my child and family.
When my family moved to Houston in 2017, I was blessed to find Northwood Montessori and continue my journey in an office manager role. Since then, I’ve continued to grow, both professionally and personally, learning more each day about what Montessori truly means.
All three of my children began their Montessori journeys at Northwood starting at 18 months old, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how this philosophy has provided a strong foundation for their growth, independence, and love of learning. Now that my children are older, I am especially grateful to continue working in this role and to remain part of the Northwood community that has meant so much to our family.
Montessori will always be a part of our lives, and I feel truly fortunate to support and be surrounded by such a wonderful community.
“Peace is what every human being is craving for, and it can be brought about by humanity through the child.” – Maria Montessori
