Parent Education

During every school year, a six week Parenting Class is offered. The class meets in the evenings with a book on parenting used to guide discussion.

In the past, books discussed have included:

• Children the Challenge
• How to Talk So Children Will Listen
• Siblings Without Rivalry
• Love and Logic

These parenting classes are closely aligned with the philosophy of the Montessori classrooms at Northwood and past parents have found them very helpful. There is no charge for these classes and parents are welcome to bring family members, caregivers, and friends.
